Tour of Flanders Spectator Guide & Travel
The Ronde van Vlaanderen (Tour of Flanders) is Belgium's ultimate one-day cycling classic, spanning the Flemish Ardennes cobbles and hills.
🚗 Driving & Parking Guide
Oudenaarde (the finish area) experiences extensive road closures. Spectator parkings are organized around the city borders. Follow the dynamic signs. Shuttle buses run from the official parkings to the main spectator zones (Oude Kwaremont, Koppenberg, and finish line).
🚆 Trains & Shuttle Services
Regular trains connect Brussels, Ghent, and Kortrijk directly to Oudenaarde station. From the station, you can walk to the finish line or take spectator shuttle buses.
🚲 Alternative Transit (Taxis, Cycling, Airports)
Local taxis operate from Oudenaarde railway station, but booking in advance is mandatory due to extreme demand. Uber/Bolt do not operate in the Flemish Ardennes. Cycling is highly encouraged; designated free bicycle zones are set near the finish line and hills. The closest airport is Brussels Airport (BRU), with direct train routes to Oudenaarde via Ghent.
🌱 Low Emission Zone (LEZ) Compliance
Oudenaarde and the race hills have no Low Emission Zones. However, if you travel through Antwerp (traditional start location) or Bruges, check LEZ rules.
